To EMPOWER low-income individuals and families, to help them ACHIEVE positive
life skills, overall independence, and to PROMOTE community economic
development.
Profile
Mount Elgon Corporation is a non-profit, community based organization.
Named after the second highest mountain in Kenya, Mt. Elgon is energized by the
successes along its path to its ultimate goals of helping families take
advantage of opportunities for economic self sufficiency, thereby creating
financial stability to Southeast Bakersfield's most blighted, crime infested,
and neglected neighborhoods.
